What is HealthyBlue Rewards?

HealthyBlue Rewards is a rewards program for members of Florida Blue Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans. Through HealthyBlue Rewards, you can earn rewards just for taking care of your health. You’ll get rewarded when you complete certain healthy activities and screenings. It’s our way of saying “thanks” for being loyal to your health! 

  • Start earning rewards today!
    1)    Sign up for HealthyBlue Rewards if you are not already enrolled. 
    2)    Complete recommended healthy  activities and preventive screenings.
    3)    Redeem rewards points for dollars that can be used toward qualifying health care costs and services.

  • How do I earn HealthyBlue Rewards?
    1)    Earn HealthyBlue Rewards when you complete certain preventive screenings and healthy activities between January 1 and December 31, 2024. 
    2)    Once you complete the activity, your rewards balance will be updated automatically after your claim processes, or you can report the details on your dashboard! 
    3)    Remember your earned rewards must be redeemed by no later than midnight on December 31 each year.

    To view and redeem your HealthyBlue Rewards, log in to your online member account.
     
    The HealthyBlue Rewards website allows you to get fast and easy access to your rewards dashboard:
    •    More visibility: View your earned rewards dollars and review your rewards incentive history.
    •    Faster rewards: Report and redeem completed eligible healthy activities and screenings.

  • How do I participate in the HealthyBlue Rewards program?
    If you already opted in to participate in HealthyBlue Rewards:
    •    You don’t have to do anything. You will automatically be opted in to participate in HealthyBlue Rewards again.

    If you would like to participate in HealthyBlue Rewards for the first time:
    •    Log in to your online member account to enroll in HealthyBlue Rewards. 
    •    Select Rewards from the dropdown menu to opt into the program to participate and earn rewards. 
    •    Participation is voluntary and is offered at no additional cost to you. 
    •    Once logged in, you will be able to view your reward activities, check your rewards details, or self-report a screening.

HealthyBlue Rewards Disclaimers

HealthyBlue Rewards program (HealthyBlue) restrictions and limitations may apply. Members must opt in to be considered eligible for the HealthyBlue Rewards program. 

Eligible members can earn and redeem rewards for completing certain preventive screenings and tests between January 1 and December 31, 2024. This program is provided for all eligible members of Florida Blue and Florida Blue Medicare (collectively, “Florida Blue Medicare”) Medicare Advantage plans. These terms and conditions may change without prior notice.


Eligibility

Only current Florida Blue Medicare Medicare Advantage members in one of these plans are considered eligible for the 2024 HealthyBlue Rewards (HealthyBlue) program: BlueMedicare Classic, BlueMedicare Classic Plus, BlueMedicare Premier, BlueMedicare Preferred, BlueMedicare Complete, BlueMedicare Total, BlueMedicare Choice, BlueMedicare Value, BlueMedicare Select, BlueMedicare Patriot, and BlueMedicare Group PPO. 

HealthyBlue Rewards earned in the program cease to exist when this eligibility is severed (member is no longer enrolled in eligible plan). No credit, transfer, or redemption of rewards is available after eligibility is severed.

Participation in HealthyBlue is voluntary and offered at no additional cost to you. The HealthyBlue Rewards program is not available to FHCP, Medicare Supplement (Medigap) and Part D only Medicare plan members.
 

Important Dates to Know

The deadline to earn and redeem any HealthyBlue Rewards in 2024 is December 31, 2024 before midnight EST. 
 

Changes and Disputes

Florida Blue Medicare reserves the right, without prior notice, to discontinue or change the program at any time.

All questions or disputes regarding eligibility for this program, the eligibility for rewards, the availability of rewards and the terms and conditions of the program will be resolved by Florida Blue Medicare at its sole discretion.
 

HealthyBlue Rewards Program Rules

Florida Blue Medicare is required to report to the IRS any amounts of $600 or more paid to individuals. If you receive $600 or more, you will receive a 1099 statement from Florida Blue Medicare. Please note that amounts less than $600, while not reported to the IRS by Florida Blue Medicare, may still be considered taxable income, and you should discuss any tax implications with a tax advisor.

You can redeem your HealthyBlue Rewards to purchase over the counter items or healthy food at select retailers. 

You can also use your HealthyBlue Rewards for costs associated to dental or vision services at any retailer whose primary business is dental or vision. 

Your earned HealthyBlue Rewards cannot be redeemed for cash and may not be used to pay for your health care plan premium or cost sharing (deductible, coinsurance or copayment).

Eligible plan members can only earn one (1) reward per one (1) eligible health activity per calendar year.

You receive rewards based on the claims we receive for your health activity, or when you give us the details for a completed health activity.

Eligible plan members are responsible for accurately and honestly representing any eligible health activity they are reporting.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires that all eligible members who opt in to participate and earn rewards in a Medicare Advantage rewards program must redeem all rewards no later than December 31 of the current year and therefore any unredeemed rewards earned in 2024 will not be eligible for redemption in 2025.
 

Participation Enrollment
Each eligible member can enroll and access the HealthyBlue Rewards program by logging in to your online member account.   
The member will then be able opt-in to the program, see their rewards dashboard, and report rewardable activities.
 

Redemption and Deduction of HealthyBlue Rewards
Any Earned Rewards not redeemed before termination from program separation will expire. HealthyBlue Rewards are not redeemable for cash. HealthyBlue Rewards you accrue do not constitute your property. You may not transfer Earned Rewards to another participant. Earned Rewards have no monetary value except to the extent specifically provided for each reward.
 

Claiming a Reward
Florida Blue Medicare reserves the right to modify rewardable activities, retailers, or retail categories at any time and without notice.
 

Termination of Program
The HealthyBlue Rewards Program ends on December 31 of each year; any unredeemed Earned Rewards must be redeemed before midnight EST on December 31.
